Alongside the show Makom, the Vertigo dance company invites you into its world through a contemporary dance workshop.
Based on the connection between the body and the laws of nature, the company uses the principles of tai chi and qigong to gently strengthen each person’s physical capacities. The approach of Noa Wertheim, Vertigo’s choreographer and artistic director, encourages interpersonal communication and interaction with the environment. The company also promotes community involvement through various initiatives such as the Vertigo Dance School founded in 1997, the Vertigo Eco Art Village on Kibbutz Netiv Halamed-Heh, and The Power of Balance programme, promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities.
The workshop is open to everyone, no previous experience is required.

Welcome to Groove club. An in-between space a bit out of time where you can lose yourself with pleasure… From three different generations, 9 characters – actors, dancers and acrobats – drift between past and present, nostalgia and glee, on a dance floor looking like an old record player. In this bar, the mood is disco and the atmosphere is vaporous. Facing an uncertain future, the memories of “the old” rub shoulders with the ardor of an emancipated youth. To the music of Strauss, Stravinski, Bob Marley or Drake, that club is a spellbinding place. A long and gentle musical and choreographic journey that displays our frailties, our struggles and our hopes.
An introduction to the event will take place at 4.15 pm before the second show.
Around the show Frankenstein, we are holding two theatre workshops for adults and children.
Workshop for children (aged 10 and over) – 14:00-15:30 Using the contents of a suitcase with various objects (a tree, a house, an armchair, a boat, a lighthouse, etc.), Cyril Briant proposes short exercises involving evocation, manipulation and acting. The workshop begins by opening your eyes to the imaginary, using the objects as a basis, before developing a short sequence on the table.
Workshop for adults – 16:00-17:30 Under the direction of Cyril Briant, participants will use the same objects from the suitcase for more complex theatrical exercises. The emphasis will be on evocation, manipulation and embodiment. This workshop aims to open up the imagination and develop a specific theatrical language through direct exploration and active practice.
In addition to the show Astor Piazzolla : Tango Passion !, we will be holding a workshop devoted to the emblematic dance of Argentina: the tango. Dancers Dante and Monik Dominguez will guide you through the basics or help you perfect your technique. Classes will be held in French and Spanish, with the possibility of assistance in English.
Shakespeare, time and time again! The English dramatist is a permanent fixture in the canon of world literature – and Daddy Issues attacks this status head-on. Its diagnosis: too white, too masculine, too royalist and (today) wordily elitist. Blending music with drama, looking for ways to come to terms with Shakespeare, theatre’s unabating patriarch, the cast and crew stand up to this behemoth of the stage, hoping eventually to come to terms with him. Gathering in a shut-down movie theatre, they bicker and play and sing their frustrations away, unleashing before the public’s eyes a disinhibited, mercurial universe drawn from Shakespeare’s oeuvre. Things are about to get serious, raucous, critical, and also very loud.
An introduction to the event will take place at 7.15 pm before the second show.
Strobe Lighting effects will be used during this performance.
