Baroque and hip-hop bring about an atmosphere of folly. In a flurry of costumes and decors on a par with Italian theaters’ greatest machineries, nineteen artists execute a performance of epic proportions. The musicians’ strings, a soprano’s voice and the dancers’ steps – mixing hip-hop and classical repertoire – intertwine skillfully. From traditional South-American traditional melodies to electronic beats, choreographer Mourad Merzouki take it up a notch with an ever quicker and livelier pace, which carries this whole sophisticated crowd away into a final, mind-blowing whirlwind.
