D’autres histoires
Sorry, there’s no English version of this text.

tock tock
Dancer and choreographer Annick Pütz takes the audience on a journey to discover all the senses. On a playfully designed stage, she discovers the materiality of the objects around her and establishes a sensitive relationship with them. The music adapts to her movements and reflects them. Slowly, an enchanted world of sensuality comes into existence.

Gozo y llanto
EN Who said it was impossible? Certainly not José Galan. For the Sevillian choreographer flamenco is less about heel tapping than about the pure and simple expression of emotions. Lola Garcia-Baquero is a blind dancer. And exactly like her, all other performers of the Flamenco inclusivo company tell their personal stories influenced by their physical disabilities. But their disabilities are not limiting, instead they are enabling a charming and tender style of flamenco that will never fade away.

After All Springville
In Miet Warlops After All Springville a house is standing on stage. The house is a springboard, a trampoline for the imagination. Are we ready for the leap into the unknown? The house is like a body: it swallows up the visitors through its openings and spits them out again. Strange creatures, half human, half thing, circle around the house. These characters can be only who or what they are. Just the audience have an overview. They watch as one individual drama after another unfolds, as inevitably as the banging of fireworks or a shoot-out. Until the house and the landscape take over the stage again. This is poetry in movement and it promises to be both touching and entertaining.

The Assembly
Welcome to The Assembly: a multisensory journey, during which movements are transformed into music. In virtual reality you meet The Memory of Voice, a mystical figure whose body is entirely composed of human sounds. Become part of a multidimensional instrument and sound-dance to dreamy melodies and electronic beats that you create. You are joined by others and together in virtual reality you form The Assembly. Back in the real world you step into an interactive installation, creating a collective chant with other visitors as you wander through a maze of veils. Le mensonge
A little girl wakes up with a big lie. The lie little by little takes the shape of a red ball and becomes impossible to get rid off. It takes a life of its own, becomes opinionated and even multiplies. How to tell truth now? The spectators are plunged into the interior world of the little girl, her dreams and nightmares. Only her courage can help her now. Catherine Dreyfus’ s play dismantles the mechanism of the lie. The red ball finally bursts and the little girl is relieved.
Machine de cirque
Straight from Quebec, five acrobats and musicians amaze with their breath-taking and hilarious acts, be it on the Chinese pole, Korean seesaw, unicycle or fireworks. This whirlwind of action comes together in a cheeky story, in which our five muscular rascals play survivors in a world without women and technology. Their mission becomes apparent right away: finding other survivors. It will be dangerous, but fun at the same time. It almost makes you wish the end of the world were to happen tomorrow.
Rage & Timeless
A revelation. Critically acclaimed Taiwanese choreographer Po-Cheng Tsai combines martial arts with traditional and urban gestures. Timeless, a delicate and poetic piece, celebrates powerful women. Unfolding more like a Japanese thriller, Rage alternates between eruptive and restrained moments. Next to the perfection of movement, the two pieces share elegance, coherence, strength and above all one conviction: solitude may ravage and consume, provoke distress and the feeling of powerlessness, but it also teaches us to find within ourselves a sanctuary.
Youth@HMEsch
For it’s second concert of the season, the Harmonie Municipale Esch/Alzette gives a glimpse into their musical programme for the World Expo in Dubai 2020. Compositions of Verdi and Strauss meet Claude François’s chansons and Ennio Morricone’s western symphonies. The second part of the evening is reserved for the youth orchestra and their new conductor Véronique Bernar.
