Ah, Europe! It’s easy: in France, they speak French, in Germany, German, in Italy, Italian, in Portugal, Portuguese, and in Luxembourg, Luxembourgish…and all these other languages. Theatre collective Transquinquennal reunites five actresses and actors who do not speak the same language. They explore the possibilities of misunderstanding and confusion. Will they be able to communicate? If linguistic diversity is a source of mutual enrichment, it also complicates things. Especially if cultural stereotypes come into play. This is multi-lingual comedy at its best.
