El Jorobado de Sevilla
Once upon a time, there was a hunchback named Diego, consumed with love for Giralda. He lived in the shadow of a bell tower, hidden among the gargoyles. Was his hump an obstacle? On the contrary, he used it to dance every night, under the stars and for Giralda … An adept of an inclusive style of flamenco, Sevillian choreographer José Galan blends the Middle Ages – its wonder and its legends – with guitar, castanets and Andalusian ruffle dresses. El Jorobado de Sevilla conveys a joyful and enchanting flamenco, that is also a formidable call to respect for difference.
