This will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at 12pm at the Escher Theater.

Alongside the show Makom, the Vertigo dance company invites you into its world through a contemporary dance workshop.
Based on the connection between the body and the laws of nature, the company uses the principles of tai chi and qigong to gently strengthen each person’s physical capacities. The approach of Noa Wertheim, Vertigo’s choreographer and artistic director, encourages interpersonal communication and interaction with the environment. The company also promotes community involvement through various initiatives such as the Vertigo Dance School founded in 1997, the Vertigo Eco Art Village on Kibbutz Netiv Halamed-Heh, and The Power of Balance programme, promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities.
The workshop is open to everyone, no previous experience is required.

Looking inwards and turning outwards – this is the balancing act upon which interdisciplinary artist Sascha Ley embarks in her own creation Cosmos (Not Enough). Ley showcases every facet of her tremendous talent in order to tackle the great existential questions: who are we in this world, and what sort of person do our social conventions make of us? Venturing into impressively creative territory, she contemplates inwardness, perception and memory, love and lust, erotic attraction and gender identities. A convergence of movement and words, the lyrical collages in Ley’s performance meet installations of video and light, courtesy of artist Krischan Kriesten.

Around The Game – Grand Finale, take part in a contemporary dance workshop for all levels.
Led by Jill Crovisier, this workshop explores the choreography and themes of the show by focusing on physical expression. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in improvisation exercises designed to stimulate creativity and body awareness.

Shakespeare, time and time again! The English dramatist is a permanent fixture in the canon of world literature – and Daddy Issues attacks this status head-on. Its diagnosis: too white, too masculine, too royalist and (today) wordily elitist. Blending music with drama, looking for ways to come to terms with Shakespeare, theatre’s unabating patriarch, the cast and crew stand up to this behemoth of the stage, hoping eventually to come to terms with him. Gathering in a shut-down movie theatre, they bicker and play and sing their frustrations away, unleashing before the public’s eyes a disinhibited, mercurial universe drawn from Shakespeare’s oeuvre. Things are about to get serious, raucous, critical, and also very loud.
An introduction to the event will take place at 7.15 pm before the second show.
Strobe Lighting effects will be used during this performance.
Après plusieurs spectacles et créations qui ont rencontré un véritable succès, PATE est de retour avec un nouveau spectacle TRANSITION. Un spectacle pensé pour notre époque, mêlant théâtre, danse, musique, chant et poésie. Un projet artistique qui explore les mutations de notre société la place de l’humain, le choc des générations, l’intelligence artificielle, les émotions programmées et les libertés contrôlées. Tout au long de l’année, les jeunes artistes ont exploré les arts de la scène pour interroger ce monde en pleine transition. Résultat : un spectacle fort, drôle, touchant, dérangeant parfois, mais surtout profondément vivant. Un miroir scénique de notre époque.
Permettre aux jeunes de découvrir le spectacle vivant par la pratique artistique, telle est la raison d’être de PATE. Mis en scène par Saïf Eddine Settif et encadré par l’éducatrice Cindy Rodrigues, ce projet éducatif et participatif prend la forme d’un atelier hebdomadaire au cours duquel les participant·es se familiarisent avec les arts de la scène. Ils et elles explorent les domaines de la danse, du chant, de la musique, de la comédie, des arts du cirque ou des arts graphiques et plastiques. Au fil de l’année, ce groupe approfondit les techniques du théâtre, de l’écriture à l’improvisation, pour créer un véritable spectacle joué en fin d’année scolaire au Escher Theater.

The dancers from the Paradox-sal collective, who perform One Shot, will be giving an introduction to house dance. This workshop is an opportunity to share in the energy of the show and discover the basics of this dance born in the clubs.
Haben Sie ihre Kleidung zu sehr strapaziert? In diesem Workshop kann ihr kreativer Kopf sich damit auseinandersetzen, ihre getragenen Kleider (um)zugestalten und die emotionale Bindung zu einer Jeans oder einer alten Socke, die Sie sich nicht mehr aus dem Schrank zu holen trauten, wiederherzustellen.
Bringen Sie ihre Klamotten zu unserer Kostümbildnerin Peggy Wurth, die Stoffe zur Verfügung stellt und die richtigen Handgriffe zeigt, um zu stopfen, zu flicken, einen Riss zu nähen, einen Knopf anzunähen, zu säumen. Unsere Künstlerin wird Ratschläge erteilen und Techniken mit auf den Weg geben, um Kleidung nachhaltiger zu machen, und das immer auf kreative Weise!
Der Workshop findet am 12.02. von 10 bis 13 Uhr und/oder von 14 bis 17 Uhr im Ariston statt.
Sie können an beiden Workshops teilnehmen, um doppelt so viel Spaß beim Reparieren Ihrer Klamotten zu haben! Zwischen 13 und 14 Uhr gibt es eine kleine Mittagspause mit Sandwiches (auf Kosten des Hauses) :-).

Pas de connaissance linguistiques requise ! L’atelier sera suivi d’un moment convivial au bar de l’Ariston autour de spécialités italiennes (inclus dans le prix du billet).

Issu·es des Conservatoires des villes de Luxembourg, d’Esch-sur-Alzette et du Nord, les meilleur·es lauréat·es de l’examen national pour l’obtention du diplôme supérieur (année 2022/2023) sont placé·es sous le feu des projecteurs. Le public découvrira leurs talent et travail, avec le concours de la Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale.
Les solistes du gala des lauréats sont Katarzyna Kawinska au chant (Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg), Tracey Lamberty-Wohles à la trompette (Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg) Nicolas Leydenbach au piano (Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg) Catherine Origer à la flûte piccolo (Conservatoire de musique de la Ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette) et Raphaël Clement à la contrebasse (Conservatoire du Nord).
La Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale est placée sous la direction de son chef de la musique, le lieutenant-colonel Jean-Claude Braun.
