At the heart of music
But where has the conductor gone? The musicians are there. The conductor, that well-dressed guy who leads them with authority, is conspicuous by his absence. And that’s precisely the point! In this immersive and stimulating concert, the members of the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg circulate around the audience, who are seated in the centre of the stage. They present themselves as they are: resolute, playful, conniving, attentive and sometimes surprising. Instead of converging towards the conductor, the music of great composers (Max Richter, Debussy …) passes from one instrument to another, bounces around and carries us away through its rhythm.
